A home battery backup, installed at no cost — if you qualify
Texas leads the country in power outages, and demand on the grid keeps climbing. A home battery means the next outage isn't your emergency to manage.
Available to homeowners in deregulated areas
Why a home battery, why now
The problem isn't just your bill — it's what happens when the grid can't keep up.
Other Texas backup power programs charge $2,000+ to install. Yours is $0.
Outages are common
Texas leads the U.S. in the number of power outages homeowners experience.
Demand keeps rising
Population growth and summer heat are pushing the grid harder every year.
A battery that just works
Backup power that switches on automatically — no generator, no gas, no manual setup.
Clean, quiet, and out of the way
Your battery installs against an exterior wall and connects to your existing electrical panel — no generator noise, no fuel to manage, no daily upkeep. It just works when you need it.
It automatically kicks in during an outage, keeping essentials running without you having to do anything.
Do I qualify?
Our battery program is a limited pilot for qualifying homeowners — not available to every home yet. Qualification comes down to three things:
You own your home
The battery program is available to Texas homeowners, in deregulated ERCOT territories.
You enroll in a Texas Power and Battery electric plan
The free install is part of switching your electric supply to us — it isn't offered as a standalone service.
Your home uses 1,500+ kWh/month
On average — check a recent bill. This is the usage level our current pilot is built around.
Protect your home from the next outage
Free eligibility check. No install fee for qualifying homes.
