Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

Using this site

Texas Power and Battery provides a free electric rate comparison tool and information about our battery backup and smart thermostat programs. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

No obligation

Checking your rate, submitting the contact form, or requesting a comparison never obligates you to switch electric providers, enroll in the battery program, or move forward with any offer. Estimated savings shown are based on reported information and current market averages — actual savings may differ.

Program eligibility

The free battery backup install is available only to Texas homeowners in deregulated ERCOT territories who enroll in a Texas Power and Battery electric plan and meet the program's usage requirements. Not every home qualifies. The smart thermostat bill-credit program requires a compatible thermostat and enrollment; full program terms are confirmed at enrollment.

Accuracy of information

Rate comparisons are estimates based on the information you provide and publicly available market data, updated periodically. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information current but do not guarantee its accuracy at the time you view it.

Communications

By submitting our contact form, you agree to be contacted by phone, text, or email regarding your rate comparison and program eligibility, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

Texas Power and Battery is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site or reliance on the estimates it provides.

Disclosures

Texas Power and Battery is not a utility. We do not control electric delivery, wiring, or outage response in any service territory — those services are provided by your local transmission and distribution utility (e.g., Oncor, CenterPoint, AEP Texas) regardless of which retail electric provider you choose.

The battery backup offer is contingent on enrollment in a Texas Power and Battery electric plan and is not available as a standalone service. Installation timelines vary by location and equipment availability.

Smart thermostat bill credits are subject to program terms confirmed at enrollment. Customers who opt out of three or more energy-saving events in a single month are not eligible for a bill credit that month.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of this site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
